Who am I?My name is Goran Gagula. I would describe myself as an outgoing, adventure-seeking, and spirited individual. I have always enjoyed taking trips with those close to me. I feel as though friendships are strengthened when you vacation with like-minded individuals who love to experience new sights. This is why I chose to share my journey across these beautiful islands with two of my good friends: Jordan and Sahyl. I chose them since they share three essential interests that are applicable to this trip: partying, exploration, and water-based activities.
My travel partners:Sahyl Singodia: a self described socialite, he would love nothing more than to create tons of lasting memories on some tropical islands, and maybe meet some beautiful ladies along the way.
Jordan Fish: a man whose kick-boxing prowess has taken him across various stops in North America, and whose lust for the finer things in life makes him an optimum travel partner.
Why French Polynesia?Once I was assigned this project I started to really think about what my dream vacation would look like. And came to the conclusion that a tropical getaway with my good buddies Jordan and Sahyl would be ideal.
I have ventured to various destinations in Europe, and have travelled through various locations in Canada extensively. But, I had never really ventured to a tropical area within the world. This was a sentiment shared by my travel buddies. My friends and I have always wanted to travel somewhere unique and exciting. I believe that this choice of vacation fits that criteria, not to mention that French Polynesia is a very interesting area, and rich in culture. |

When? All three of us are career-minded individuals, who see this as an opportunity to let loose once we have finished our studies. My friends and I have planned to go on this trip one year after we graduate from university. This will give us time to accumulate funds for this journey as trips to the South Pacific tend to be on the expensive side. The ideal season to journey here would be between May & October, avoiding excessive humidity and major storms.
“Please be a traveller, not a tourist. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what’s right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.”-Andrew Zimmern
PurposeIn my life, I have always found purpose in experiencing people, and in performing daily activities with several individuals. I strongly believe that inner growth can only be achieved by learning from those around you, and adapting . Travelling provides the perfect platform to get to know those around you, and promote friendship growth. This is why I feel that this trip will accomplish, I will be able to grow as a person and foster personal growth in those around me.
